www.silvermt.com  Silver Mountain Resort is located just 30 minutes from downtown Coeur d' Alene.  The mountain has 1500 skiable acres, and over 60 trails.  Summit elevation is 6300 feet, and vertical drop is 2200 feet.  Silver boasts the worlds longest gondola, and during the summer season mountain biking and a concert center. 

 

www.skilookout.com  Lookout Pass Ski & Recreation Area is approximately 45 minutes from downtown Coeur d' Alene.  The mountain has 540 skiable acres, and over 20 trails.  Summit elevation is 5650 feet, and vertical drop is 1150 feet.  Lookout gets an average of 400 inches of powder every season for your enjoyment!

 

www.schweitzer.com  Schweitzer Mountain is located just 45 minutes North of downtown Coeur d' Alene.  The mountain has over 2900 acres of skiable terrain, 92 trails, and open bowl skiing.  Summit elevation is 6400 feet, and vertical drop is 2400 feet.  Schweitzer offers 2 terrain parks, as well as 32 km of cross country trails.  During the summer season, enjoy over 40 km of hiking and biking trails!

 

www.friendsofcdatrails.org  This site gives great overview of local biking activity.  The Route of the Hiawatha is a senic 15 mile trail system for bikers and hikers.  The trail leads through 10 railroad tunnels and 7 high trestles between the Idaho and Montana borders.  The Trail of the Coeur d' Alenes is an amazing 73 miles of paved trails for biking along the Union Pacific Railroad through mining country, mountains, chain lakes, and prairie!
